went on a solo hike through an old growth forest today.

being surrounded by the mycelium networks and trees older than I can imagine, it brought a calm to me that I haven’t felt in several years.

take a deep breath, listen to the birdsong, an

trees are absolutely incredible

go outside, get vaccinated, wear a mask

we are in this together (that includes the trees)

when I saw this lamp it reminded me of a ghost light used for when a stage goes dark in a theater, illuminating the complete darkness with a single bulb.

for the superstitious among us, it really is a way to appease the ghosts of the characters/acto

go chase your dreams,

each morning I make a point to look at flowers.

a daily check in for new blooms and to see how the morning sunlight brings them to life.

we sat on a dock, played my grandmother’s card games, stayed up late talking like no time had passed at all.

this was a weekend I will never forget. after sixteen months of being apart and digitally connected, i got to sit around a table with vaccinated friends and eat crabs, laugh, hug, and celebrate reunion.
